Melissa Andersen

Hi, I’m Melissa — the owner of Task Mate and someone who genuinely enjoys helping small businesses stay organized, efficient, and stress-free. I’ve built my career around administration, communication, marketing, and customer support, and Task Mate is my way of using those skills to help other businesses thrive.

RECENT WORK EXPERIENCE:

Office Manager — Prime Electrical

(2024–Present)


I currently work part-time managing the daily operations for a busy electrical contractor in Nampa. My responsibilities include processing electrical permits, scheduling inspections, handling client communication, completing new-hire paperwork, overseeing 401(k) contributions, organizing handbooks, and keeping financial records updated through QuickBooks. These tasks require accuracy, organization, and strong communication — the same qualities I bring to my clients through Task Mate.

Office Manager — Wildcat Electric

(2019–2024)


Before Prime Electrical, I founded and managed a residential electrical company with my husband in Parma. I designed the company’s website, handled social media photos, scheduled 40–50 appointments each month, managed customer communication through phone, email, chat, and text, and took care of all marketing tasks and office administration. Running a small business myself gave me first-hand insight into how overwhelming the workload can be — and how much difference a reliable extra set of hands can make.

Marketing, Proofreading, and Design:


Earlier in my career, I worked in marketing and design roles, including proofreading at a local print shop and coordinating marketing for a Chrysler dealership. I’ve handled everything from designing ads and postcards to updating websites, processing printing orders, proofreading 100–200 projects per day, taking and editing photos, and writing radio ads. These experiences built a strong foundation in detail-oriented work, design tools, and clear communication — all skills I use when helping clients with marketing materials, website updates, and document formatting.

  • Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom

  • Website design and updates (Wix)

Why I started Task Mate:
I’ve spent years helping businesses stay organized, coordinate projects, manage communication, and present a professional image. Many small businesses don’t need a full-time employee — they just need help sometimes.

 

Task Mate is designed to fill that gap by offering flexible office support, errands, scanning, marketing help, event support, and more. My goal is simple: make your workday easier, smoother, and less stressful.
